1) Initial Discussion:
It's ideal to start with a conversation about the illustration to grasp the visualization needed.
Privacy and information security are paramount. If needed, I am open to signing a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) to protect your research. Additionally, I've worked with materials like PowerPoint presentations and grant proposals to achieve a clear picture of the required information, always ensuring you're comfortable with what's being shared.
2) Draft Proposals:
After our discussion, I'll need a few days to create draft proposals. This could include polishing your draft or proposing my own ideas if no draft is provided.
Alongside the draft proposals, I'll provide a time estimate and a price quote for the project. Upon agreement, I'll proceed with the work. Although I can not provide a fixed price since every project is unique - a typical illustration for a research paper or a grant proposal varies between 400€ and 800€ with a time delivery not crossing 2 weeks. Animations require significantly more work and the price might vary from 1000€ - 6000€ with a time delivery starting at 1 month for simple animations.
3) Progress Updates:
I'll keep you updated on the progress to ensure we're aligned towards the final product.
The work will be shared through Google Slides, accessible only to you and me, allowing you to view and comment on the evolving drafts.
4) Finalization and Delivery:
Once the final version is uploaded, you'll have three rounds of corrections to ensure complete satisfaction.
The finalized illustration will be delivered in your preferred format (.ai, .png, .pdf), with a focus on providing a format that allows for future customization like changing fonts, compositions, and resolution.
Payment is typically processed at this stage, and rest assured, I retain all client work for possible future revisions should any issues arise. For larger projects I ask for 50% of the price being paid beforehand.
